(Friday afternoons off);<\/li>\n<li>Truly flexible work arrangements: 100% remote, hybrid, or 100% in-office\u2014the choice is yours;<\/li>\n<li>Up to 7 weeks of vacation per year, sick days, and personal days: your well-being matters to us.<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive group insurance coverage starting the day you join;<\/li>\n<li>A contribution to your RRSP;<\/li>\n<li>A $400 allowance for purchasing ergonomic equipment;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#xa0;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Life at the studio<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access to chair massages, fresh fruit and snacks, a gym, sports activities, and more;<\/li>\n<li>Regular presentations on projects and new developments: we keep our team informed about what\u2019s happening at Frima;<\/li>\n<li>Close-knit, supportive, and inclusive teams\u2014even when working remotely!<\/li>\n<li>Come discover the rest for yourself!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Job Description<\/h2>\n<p><strong>What your weeks are going to look like<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Daily Scrum-style meetings to start the day off right, discuss technical challenges, and ensure rigorous tracking of deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in code reviews with various team members;<\/li>\n<li>Identify and resolve performance issues related to CPUs, GPUs, and memory;<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain integrations between the engine and toolchains and pipelines on mobile, PC, and console;<\/li>\n<li>Debug issues at both the engine and gameplay levels;<\/li>\n<li>Improve and automate our deployment and debugging processes;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain service configurations and integrations;<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the project\u2019s technical design by proposing innovative solutions tailored to the project\u2019s needs, while adhering to constraints (budget, deadlines, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Support the team in addressing complex technical issues by proposing robust and effective solutions, thereby ensuring the quality and performance of the code;<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support to overcome roadblocks and propose proactive solutions to keep the project on track;<\/li>\n<li>Make independent technical decisions, consulting with the Lead Programmer for choices with significant strategic impact;<\/li>\n<li>Develop, optimize, and maintain game features, ensuring their performance and interoperability with other systems;<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and support programmers by providing them with technical guidance and sharing best practices in development to ensure code quality and compliance with the team\u2019s standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<p><strong>What we&#8217;re looking for<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science or a related field, combined with experience deemed equivalent;<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of ten (10) years of programming experience or other relevant experience;<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in roles involving technical leadership (e.g., mentoring, functional team management, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Excellent proficiency of the C++ language;<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of the various hardware and software layers involved in the execution of a video game;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think systemically when considering complex architectures that work together (SDK \/ game server or clients \/ Unreal Engine \/ streaming protocols);<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable with long-term iterations;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with the Unreal game engine (a significant asset);<\/li>\n<li>Experience in mobile game development (a significant asset);<\/li>\n<li>Excellent command of French and English (written and spoken).
